Behind The Clouds The Sun Is Still Shining

 

Ever since coming back from our holiday about a week ago, the weather has been rather unstable. One day hot, next day rain, next day hot again and so on... Just like my emotions, I felt happy and excited one day but stressed and miserable the very next.

We were moving our house! And you know what they say: moving house is one of the highest stress factors. You bet, it is! Especially, since last time we relocated there was no child, pretty garden and a massive loft to move.

As my partner was finding the whole process rather overwhelming from the very start, I kept going as usual, my positive self, and cheering up everyone along the way. The vision of a new house with even prettier garden and a fresh start in a beautiful SW London area of Teddington just kept my spirit high.

Not for long, though. It soon started to dawn on me that there simply isn't enough time to organise everything to check-out from the old house, move and check into the new house within three days of returning from our holiday. Which was a pure coincidence or a lucky strike of events, by the way.

Soon my busy mind and tired body started to refuse to co-operate and I suddenly didn't feel as positive, cheerful and happy anymore. I started having doubts about the new place and blaming everyone and everything when things didn't go according to my plan.

It was time to step away from the situation and it was a case of an emergency. I didn't feel myself and I didn't like it at all. I had to check in with my body, mind & soul and remind myself that all I am doing is because I want to and not because I have to. And if you know what you want, you suddenly start flowing with the river and not against its current...
